Vinegar in Canning Water to Stop Mineral Deposits

Cloudiness and Mineral Deposits on home canned food really takes away from the great presentation that a jar should have.

It won’t hurt anything but it looks horrible.

This is caused by Minerals in the water that cause the buildup.

It only takes a bit, a 2 tbsp to 1/8 cup is enough to aid in stopping the unsightly buildup.

This will also keep your pots looking good, not adding vinegar to the water can lead to deposits on your cookware. The buildup will likely be most visible around the liquid level and on the bottom of the pot.
